Founder

Institute for Cold Case Investigations

I champion a culture in which students and colleagues thrive, building an environment where extraordinary criminology professionals are graduated to positively impact public safety nationwide.

In a continuous focus on moving our discipline forward, I build collaborative relationships with faculty and staff and actively participate in the growth of extracurricular organizations, scholarship development, and academic achievement. I create subject matter awareness, promote successful criminology practices, and generate enthusiasm for criminology subject matter as a podcast host and television subject matter expert.

Consider my recent accomplishments:

• I founded the nation's first Institute for Cold Case Investigation in which student's attain real-world experience working alongside jurisdictional law enforcement; several cold cases have since been solved.
• I earned distinction as Endowed Teaching Chair which fostered student involvement with the successful opening a branch of the Institute for Cold Case Investigation at Indian River State College.
• I launched the college's Pi Beta Iota Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society to honor student achievement, boost opportunities for students to explore criminology as a career, and stimulate social connections.
• I gained recognition locally, nationally and internationally as a guest speaker and subject matter expert on podcast media platforms and television (Oxygen Network / NBC Universal, Investigation Discovery / Warner Brothers Discovery.)
